To amplify the global reach of Taiwanese music and expand overseas performance opportunities for local artists, the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) has once again teamed up with the Vagabond Festival to host the 2025 Taiwan Beats Industry Event. During the large-scale annual music festival in Tainan, held this year from October 17 to 19, music festival organizers, concert promoters, and booking agents from France, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Philippines, United Kingdom, the United States, Vietnam were invited to Taiwan to enjoy live performances and participate in one-on-one business meetings. The aim was to drive international exchange and co-production within the music industry while amplifying opportunities for Taiwanese artists to perform overseas.
Sue WANG, Chairperson of TAICCA, noted that in September this year, TAICCA arranged for Taiwanese artists to perform in showcases in South Korea and Germany, presenting “Taiwan Beats” on the global stage. The 2025 Taiwan Beats Industry Event featuring Vagabond Festival, in turn, brings those international industry connections back to Taiwan,  inviting live-business professionals from around the world to support Taiwan’s music in venturing out globally.
Through last year's industry event, TAICCA successfully facilitated overseas performances in Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, and Poland for Taiwanese artists such as MakeMake, The Chairs, Mong Tong, Acid Brain, and KST. During this edition, TAICCA facilitated over 70 meetings between global delegates and representatives from Taiwan’s music industry. The schedule of the event included on-site visits to the festival, meetings and a cultural tour in Tainan, offering delegates an immersive experience of Taiwan.
Music Fest Programmer Genevieve Wood, who has previously collaborated with TRASH, Enno Cheng, and Whyte, said she was eager to discover more talented artists at the Vagabond Festival with potential for future collaborations. Meanwhile, Mary Christine ‘MC’ Galang, a music curator whose event has invited The Chairs, Elephant Gym, and Manic Sheep to perform in the Philippines, shared that she was impressed by the strong passion of the Vagabond Festival’s audiences and the lineup.

Founded in 2019 and entering its 7th edition in 2025, the Vagabond Festival has become one of Taiwan’s most influential large-scale music events for young people, dedicated to promoting pop and indie music as well as eco-friendly event practices. By partnering with Vagabond Festival to invite international delegates to Taiwan, TAICCA hopes to foster greater exchange among Taiwanese artists and international delegates, further elevating the global presence and market scale of Taiwanese music.
